Why Electron Powder Coating Equipment?
The difference between entry-level equipment and professional application technology does not show up on the data sheet. It shows up on the surface: even deposition, controlled charging, repeatable results across an entire shift. That is exactly where Electron comes in.
Programmable, not guesswork
Anyone looking for the most advanced programmable application technology inevitably ends up with systems that store recipes. The E-COAT+3 Master control unit manages up to 50 recipes (P01 to P50). Four of them are preset at the factory:

You call up the parameters at the press of a button, including directly from the grip of the handgun without walking back to the control unit. In practice this means you dial in a workpiece properly once, save it, and run exactly the same parameters again months later. For customer orders, production runs and anything that has to be documented, that is the real benefit.
Consistent film thickness: the MCF mode
The decisive factor for an even film thickness is not the voltage but the current in the lower range. As soon as you work below 10 microamps, which is unavoidable on complex geometries, edges or Faraday cages, the Master unit automatically switches to MCF mode (Micro Charge Feedback). It then takes considerably more current samples per unit of time and keeps the charge applied to the powder stable at micro level.
The result: no back-ionisation, no build-up on edges, clean penetration into recesses, and a film thickness that stays consistent across the part and across the shift. In addition, the correction factors PCF1 and PCF2 synchronise powder output across multiple units, so every gun in the same system delivers the same amount.
Air control that thinks along
On the E-COAT+3 Master you set total air volume and powder ratio as a percentage. The unit keeps the air volume in the hose constant and adjusts the supplementary air automatically when you change the ratio. The hybrid proportional valve system does this independently of fluctuations in the inlet pressure, which matters in workshops where several tools share one compressor. On the E-COAT+3 Pro you control both manually via the pressure regulators on the front panel: more robust, more affordable and perfectly sufficient for consistent applications.
Colour changes in minutes
FastPurge mode blows out the injector, hose and coating path with high-pressure air, triggered via the menu button on the unit or the "P" button on the gun. If you run several colours a week, this is where you save the most time. The multicolour version with box unloader and vibration motor goes one step further: you coat straight from the original container, with no decanting and no hopper cleaning.

Digital control unit with LC display, 50 recipe slots, MCF mode, consumable counters for wear parts, Bluetooth and an optional Ethernet module for master and slave operation across multiple units. Available as a base set, with a 50-litre stainless steel hopper on a mobile trolley, or as the multicolour version with box unloader.
E-COAT+3 Pro, the pragmatic solution
Up to 100 kV and 100 µA, three preset plus 47 freely programmable recipes, air control via pneumatic pressure regulators. If you work with one or two standard colours and do not need recipe management, this is the more economical choice.
E-GUN+3 C1 and C2, the handguns
495 grams in weight, IP64, integrated LED lighting and a seven-metre powder feed cable. The C1 (up to 120 kV and 120 µA) can be operated remotely via the buttons on the back, so recipe changes and parameter adjustments happen without walking to the control unit. It handles plastic, metallic and enamel powders; the C2 (up to 100 kV and 100 µA) is not approved for enamel.
E-LAB+3 Master DI, the laboratory unit
Compact bench-top system with a 500 ml or 1000 ml cup and inline injector. For sample parts, colour development, quality control and training. 13 kg, 37 × 57 × 34 cm.
Hoppers from 8 to 100 litres
Fluidised-bed hoppers in steel and stainless steel: 8 litres for individual parts and quick colour changes, 50 litres in stainless steel for continuous operation, 100 litres with an injector base for up to eight applicators.
Corona technology: when it is the right choice
All Electron handguns work on the corona principle. A high-voltage electrode at the nozzle tip ionises the air, the powder passing through picks up the charge and deposits on the earthed workpiece. Corona charges quickly and strongly, which makes it the right choice for flat surfaces, metallic powders and high output. Up to 425 grams of powder per minute are possible in combination with the E-FEED+3 injector.
Its limitation lies in deep internal corners and tube ends, where the Faraday cage effect impedes deposition. For parts like these, tribo technology is the better choice, because it charges the powder by friction rather than through an electric field. The optional FastCorona de-ionising ring closes part of that gap: it reduces free ions, allows spray distances down to 100 mm and minimises orange peel on more sensitive powders. What you need to run the equipment
Check three points before ordering:
- Compressed air: 5.5 to 7.0 bar inlet pressure at 150 to 200 l/min, 8 mm connection. The air must be free of oil and water (max. 1.4 g/m³ water vapour, max. 0.12 mg/m³ oil mist). An upstream filter regulator is mandatory, because damp air ruins any coating result no matter what the equipment cost.
- Earthing: workpiece, booth and hanging system must be earthed at a maximum of 1 MΩ, checked weekly. Within a five-metre radius this applies to every conductive part. Inadequate earthing is by far the most common reason for powder failing to adhere.
- Explosion protection and extraction: the control units are approved for Zone 22 (II 3(2) D, IP54), the handguns for the Zone 21 they generate themselves (II 2 D, IP64). Technical ventilation has to keep the dust concentration below 50 % of the lower explosive limit. Where that limit is not known, a guide value of 10 g/m³ applies.

Is Electron worth it for you?
An honest answer: if you coat a few sets of wheels a year, you do not need an E-COAT+3 Master. Our more affordable entry-level models are perfectly adequate for that. Electron pays off as soon as coating becomes part of your value creation: customer orders, several colour changes per week, results that have to be documented, or integration into an existing installation. That is when the extra cost is recovered through less rework, lower powder consumption and shorter changeover times.
Delivery, warranty and service
We deliver within Germany in 7 to 10 days, free of shipping charges, and to Austria in 7 to 14 days. For all other countries we will confirm the delivery time in advance. Compact units ship by parcel service, systems with a 50-litre hopper or box unloader by freight forwarder, so please arrange a second person or a lifting aid for unloading.
The control units carry a two-year warranty against manufacturing and component defects, and parts replaced under warranty are free of charge. Wear and spare parts such as nozzles, deflectors, PTFE bushings, carbon rings and injector nozzles are available from us throughout the product service life.
