Polyester powder coating ESD

Smooth satin finish 70 GE +/- 10 (60° angle)

Electrostatic charges often arise in situations where friction is present. This can occur due to the movement of machine parts, the contact of clothing with other objects, or in transport systems. An everyday example is walking across a carpet or moving a conveyor belt that rubs against a roller. Likewise, systems for extracting or transporting powders and bulk materials can build up electrostatic charges due to friction in the air circulation.

The inevitable consequence of electrostatic charge is its discharge, also known as electrostatic discharge (ESD). This discharge occurs abruptly and can lead to voltage spikes of up to several hundred thousand volts between two objects. In extreme cases, it can even cause sparks. Conventional powder coatings, which have an electrically insulating effect, are unable to dissipate these voltage spikes. This can pose a risk to electronic components or even act as an ignition source for dust explosions.

The powder coating is produced in Europe and delivers a perfect finish in terms of flow, edge coverage, opacity, and color. This powder coating serves as a powder coating primer for very high corrosion protection requirements. The highest quality for your surfaces!

Instructions for use

RAL powder coatings are suitable for all common application systems. During pretreatment, grease, oil, scale, and oxidation products must be removed from the surface.

Technical data sheets can be downloaded as PDF files under FAQ.

Can be painted over with all common powder coatings, recommendations for suitable liquid coatings on request
