Our primer powder coating in gray is produced according to the highest standards in Europe and runs a perfect surface in terms of edge coverage, chemical and corrosion resistance. The primer also contains an outgassing additive, ideal for galvanized substrates.

Our classic primer Gray Classic protected the surface and serves as a base for the color coating. The proven quality convinces and protects your workpieces in the long term.

Pretreatment

Grease, oil, scale and oxidation products must be removed from the surface before coating.

In case of special corrosion protection requirements, it is essential to observe the technical data sheet regarding pre-treatment on different substrates!

Recommendation for exterior use

After stoving the primer, the desired RAL color or any special color shade is applied. This so-called 2-layer process particularly increases the weather resistance of your workpieces for outdoor use. In addition, you can protect the surface with a clear varnish and thus, if desired, change the gloss level as well as the color effect.

Recommended curing time

At 180 °C object temperature 15 min.

At 200 °C object temperature 10 min.

Theoretical coverage

At 60 μm film thickness 9 - 13 m²/kg

Optimum film thickness

- for a 1-layer coating 60 - 100 µm

- with a 2-layer coating 120 - 160 µm
