Prepare Several Colours Instead of Refilling Between Every Job

Every colour change at the powder coating gun means the same routine: empty the container, return the leftover powder to its original packaging, blow it out and refill. With additional powder containers for the PRO powder coating gun, you can skip this step entirely. Fill each container with its own colour, close it with the screw cap and set it aside. When you change colour, simply screw the next container onto the gun. It takes just a few seconds, and the risk of residue from the previous colour ending up in your next job drops considerably.

Compatible with the PRO Powder Coating Gun

The container holds 500 ml and is identical to the one supplied with your gun. It fits both versions:

It can also be used on identical NordicPulver PRO and PRO+ guns. It is not intended for the Tribo Basic, which uses its own smaller cup.

When Additional Powder Containers Pay Off

  • Multi-layer systems: Primer, colour coat and clear coat each get their own container. Important: every layer is fully cured before the next one is applied. The clear coat therefore goes onto the cured base coat only, never into the oven together with it.
  • Clear coat and light shades: Even slight contamination from dark powder is clearly visible here. A container used exclusively for clear coat is the safest solution.
  • Two-colour projects: Such as wheel spokes and rim barrel, or frame and add-on parts. You switch between parts without cleaning every time.
  • Workshop use: Your most frequently used colours sit sealed on the shelf, ready for immediate use. The container simply gets topped up.

Practical Tips

  • Label each container with the RAL number or product name. With similar grey or metallic shades, this prevents mix-ups.
  • Do not fill the container to the brim. A little air above the powder keeps it loose and ensures an even feed.
  • Powder coatings absorb moisture. Screw the cap back on straight after coating and store the containers in a dry place, away from the hot oven.
  • Clean the container with dry, oil-free compressed air. If you do wash it out, it must be completely dry before you refill it.

You will find suitable powders for the tribo process in our powder coatings range. Our guide to DIY powder coating shows the complete process from pretreatment to curing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the container identical to the one supplied with the gun?

Yes. The PRO gun comes with one 500 ml container as standard. This item is the same container, available separately.

How many additional containers do I need?

Plan one container for each colour you use regularly. For a typical system of primer, colour coat and clear coat, three containers are usually sufficient.

Can I store powder in the container?

Yes. The container closes with a screw cap, so you can prepare your colours and keep them in it until the next use. Store the containers in a cool, dry place, as powder that has absorbed moisture clumps and does not spray as well.
