Polyester powder coating system for outdoor use
Application example (sample bowl)
To demonstrate the gloss effect of the clear coat, sample trays were created. They were first coated with RAL 9005 Jet Black, smooth matte, or smooth high gloss. Then, one half of the tray was masked off and the other half was powder coated with the clear coat. The right half of the sample tray shows the result of the clear coat.

Powder coating system for outdoor use in Colorless
Smooth glossy 85 GU +/- 10 (60° angle)
Our non-marking polyester resin-based powder coatings are produced according to the highest standards in Europe and deliver a perfect surface result in flow and color. The colorless powder coating also has good weather stability and very good mechanical properties, as well as special light- and chalking-resistant pigments.
This powder coating is new to us and offers you improved transparency compared to our Colorless Classic.
Application
Suitable for electrostatic (corona) and tribo processes.

Pretreatment
Grease, oil, scale and oxidation products must be removed from the surface before coating.
Recommendation for exterior use
If the parts to be coated are intended for outdoor use, we recommend first coating the grease- and solvent-free surface with our priming powder. After stoving, the desired RAL color is applied. This so-called 2-layer process particularly increases the corrosion resistance of your workpieces for outdoor use. The powder coating Colorless is not suitable for outdoor use without prior color top coat!

At 180 °C object temperature 15 min

At 60 μm film thickness 13 - 14 m²/kg
Optimum film thickness
- with a 1-layer coating 60 - 100 µm
- with a 2-layer coating 120 - 160 µm
