Our gray epoxy primer powder coating is manufactured in Europe to the highest standards and provides perfect edge coverage, chemical and corrosion resistance, and is very easy to apply. The primer also contains an outgassing additive to prevent outgassing problems. It's ideal for all substrates, including galvanized steel, cast iron, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Our classic Grey Classic primer protects the surface and serves as a base for the paint coating. Its proven quality is impressive and provides long-term protection for your workpieces!
Application
Suitable for electrostatic (corona) and tribo processes.

Pretreatment
Grease, oil, scale and oxidation products must be removed from the surface before coating.
For special corrosion protection requirements, please refer to the technical data sheet regarding pretreatment on different substrates!
Recommendation for outdoor use
After the primer is baked, the desired RAL color or any custom color is applied. This so-called two-coat process gives the surface high weather resistance, making it suitable for outdoor use without any problems. The primer must be applied in two coats (primer + paint), otherwise no UV protection will be provided.
Recommended burn-in time
At 180 °C object temperature 15 min
At 200°C object temperature 10 min
Theoretical yield
At 60 μm layer thickness 9 - 13 m²/kg
Optimal layer thickness
- with a single coating 60 - 100 µm
- with a double coating 120 - 160 µm
