DB metallic polyester powder coating in facade quality

Fine structure matt (visual)

Our polyester powder coatings according to the RAL color system are produced in Europe according to the highest standards and deliver a perfect surface finish in terms of color and flow. Furthermore, the coatings are specially manufactured for exterior use in facade quality. Our metallic powder coatings are produced using the bonding process and thus offer the highest metallic effect quality.

The DB paints are paints used by Deutsche Bahn. Due to the high proportion of iron mica, the colors differ from the RAL colors, creating a grayed, yet glittering appearance.

Please note that DB paints from different manufacturers vary in gloss and color. Therefore, prior color checks are recommended to avoid color deviations.

Application

When processing metallic powder coatings, the electrostatic (corona) process is recommended; metallic powder coatings must be tested for their suitability for tribo application.

Technical data sheets can be downloaded as PDF files under FAQ.

Please note the processing instructions for metallic powder coatings.

Pretreatment

Grease, oil, scale and oxidation products must be removed from the surface before coating.

For special requirements, additional pretreatment types may be required. Please refer to the technical data sheets.

Recommendation for outdoor use

If the parts to be coated are intended for outdoor use, we recommend first coating the grease- and solvent-free surface with our primer powder . After baking, the desired RAL color is applied. This so-called two-coat process particularly increases the corrosion resistance of your workpieces for outdoor use.
