Red glaze powder coating polyester

Smooth shine (visual)

Do you need a rich, vibrant " candy red " or prefer the " red illusion "? To achieve the candy effect, you should use a suitable substrate for the glaze. We recommend our chrome-effect powder coating . This color pairs very well with matte black paints. For the glaze-illusion combination, we recommend our Silver Substratum .

Red is an intense and dynamic color often associated with speed, power, and strength in the automotive and motoring world. A red glaze can add a touch of aggression and style to your car or motorcycle. The transparency of the glaze can help reveal the natural structure of the metal or paint, creating a unique look.

The red glaze can be used for a variety of automotive and motor applications, such as wheel rims, brake calipers, engine covers, and much more. The glaze offers an excellent way to coat these parts in a striking and durable color that also provides a protective layer against weathering, corrosion, and abrasion. Whether you're a sports car enthusiast looking to give your car an aggressive appearance or a motorcyclist seeking a custom look, a red glaze can be an excellent choice to add personality and appeal to your vehicle.

Application

Suitable for electrostatic (corona) and tribo processes.

Please note the processing instructions for the glazes. The corresponding technical data sheets can be downloaded as PDF files from the FAQs. A guide for the application of glazes can also be found in the FAQs.

Please note!

The transparent glazes achieve different color results on different substrates. The intensity of the color also depends heavily on the layer thickness! A layer thickness difference of just 20 µm results in a visual color difference. Before applying the paint to your workpiece, you should prepare a sample sheet with the desired powder coating combinations.

Pretreatment

Grease, oil, scale and oxidation products must be removed from the surface before coating.

Recommendation for outdoor use

After the primer and the substrate have been baked, the desired glaze is applied. Glazes can therefore consist of three or four coats (primer + substrate + glaze + clear coat). Please ensure that you check your coating equipment for performance and whether multiple coats are possible.

Since our powder coatings are manufactured to industrial standards, we recommend using our clear coat for outdoor use to provide long-term protection against UV radiation. You can also change the effect to a matte finish, for example, with the colorless powder.

Recommended burn-in time

At 180 °C object temperature 15 - 20 min

Theoretical yield

At 90 μm layer thickness 10 m²/kg

Optimal layer thickness

- with a single coating approx. 90 µm

- with a double coating approx. 120 - 160 µm
