Glaze powder coating polyester

Smooth shine (visual)

A glaze is a type of transparent powder coating available in a variety of colors. By cleverly combining it with other powder coatings, you can create fascinating visual effects. The colors can interact with each other in various ways, for example, blending into one another or contrasting to create a layered and interesting surface. To achieve the candy-like effect, you should use a suitable base for the glaze. We recommend our chrome-effect powder coating .

Orange is a vibrant and warm color often associated with energy, joy, and creativity. It's a blend of yellow and red and can appear in a variety of shades. Orange can also evoke associations with autumn leaves, sunsets, and tropical fruits. In psychology, orange is considered a color that promotes confidence and enthusiasm, but also symbolizes independence and a sense of adventure.

Application

Suitable for electrostatic (corona) and tribo processes.

Please note the processing instructions for the glazes. The corresponding technical data sheets can be downloaded as PDF files from the FAQs. A guide for the application of glazes can also be found in the FAQs.

Please note: The transparent glazes are not opaque and therefore produce different color results on different surfaces. The color intensity also depends heavily on the layer thickness! A layer thickness difference of just 20 µm will result in a visual color difference. Before applying paint to your workpiece, you should prepare a sample sheet with the desired powder coating combinations.

Pretreatment

Grease, oil, scale and oxidation products must be removed from the surface before coating.

Recommendation for outdoor use

After the primer and the substrate have been baked, the desired glaze is applied. Glazes can therefore consist of three or four coats (primer + substrate + glaze + clear coat). Please ensure that you check your coating equipment for performance and whether multiple coats are possible.

Since our powder coatings are manufactured to industrial standards, we recommend using our clear coat for outdoor use to provide long-term protection against UV radiation. You can also change the effect to a matte finish, for example, with the colorless powder.

Recommended burn-in time

At 180 °C object temperature 15 - 20 min

Theoretical yield

At 90 μm layer thickness 10 m²/kg

Optimal layer thickness

- with a single coating approx. 90 µm

- with a double coating approx. 120 - 160 µm
