Polyester powder coating

Smooth shine (visual)

Our RAL fluorescent paints contain special color pigments with a fluorescent effect, creating a glowing effect under UV light. The fluorescent dyes are designed for highly visible surfaces. The powders react to long-wave UV radiation, also known as black light. Due to the fluorescence, the powder absorbs the black light and emits light in return. The paint is intended for indoor use; for outdoor applications, the processing instructions must be strictly observed.

Application

All luminous powder coatings are suitable for the corona and tribo processes.

Technical data sheets can be downloaded as PDF files under FAQ.

Pretreatment

Grease, oil, scale and oxidation products must be removed from the surface before coating.

For special requirements, additional pretreatment types are required.

Recommendation for outdoor use

If the parts to be coated are intended for outdoor use, we recommend first coating the grease- and solvent-free surface with our primer powder to increase corrosion protection. The paints are not light- and UV-stable, which leads to color changes when the surfaces are exposed to direct or indirect sunlight. To counteract this, we recommend our colorless powder coating AGF . The final topcoat increases the color's durability for outdoor use.

Recommended burn-in time

At 180 °C object temperature 15 - 20 min

Theoretical yield

At 60 μm layer thickness 9 - 13 m²/kg

Optimal layer thickness

- with a single coating 60 - 100 µm

- with a double coating 120 - 160 µm
